David

David Locicero is passionate about making comfortable modern homes and loves helping home owners like you solve their residential space problems. His interest in architecture, especially house design, was kindled early in grade school and has never wavered.

Educated at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon [B.arch., 1985] and the Architectural Association Graduate School of Architecture in London, UK [Grad. Dipl., 1989], he has been licensed to practice architecture in California since 1988 [California registration C19452].

Prior to starting his own firm, David worked for 12 years at two large San Francisco architectural firms specializing in buildings for science and shopping centers. With these firms he led project teams in the design and construction of shopping centers, academic buildings and high-rise projects.

With Locicero architecture + design David brings the lessons learned working on big projects back to his first love, smaller scale residential design.

David has been studying Feng Shui independently since 1987. He has been offering Feng Shui reviews since 1998. David was attracted to the way that Feng Shui brings meaning into the environment by prescribing good design principals. David has focused on the Black Hat school of Feng Shui.

David is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), the Golden Gate Business Association (GBBA) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). He is also a member of the San Francisco Design Center and holds a California resale license.

David founded his own firm, Locicero architecture + design in 1998 to specialize in modern solutions for residential additions and remodels. Previously called Studio2, David changed the name when he relocated the business from "suite 2" in San Francisco to his new space in Emeryville.
