What style do you design in?

I call my style "comfortable modern". My style is derived from the tenants of Modernism. I've tempered that approach with an understanding of what turns a "space" into a "place": comfort and meaning.

Comfort and meaning are brought into a design through the arrangement of the spaces, the materials used and attention to the realities of how buildings are really used.

If you like clean lines, simple and sculptural forms, natural materials and spots of bold color, you may like what I can do for you. "Comfortable modern" is an attitude more than a style. Remodels and additions can be made to match the existing building, make reference to it or stand in stark contrast. But no matter how itís approached, the clean lines, simple forms, natural materials and color still apply.

Every person has a different attitude toward these ideas. I tailor my designs to each client's needs and preferences. Every project is unique to it's client's needs and tastes.
